Fall 2023 | Cohort 4: Roads to Climate Action

The Youth Climate Innovation Lab was a cohort program for youth ages 18-30 who are excited to build up their knowledge and skills to take bold, local climate action. This cohort of the Youth Climate Innovation Lab was focused on transportation and mobility as key avenues to address climate change and advance a just transition. Youth participants worked collaboratively with municipalities, organizations and businesses leading Metro Vancouver’s efforts to reduce vehicle emissions and transition to climate-friendly methods of transportation.

In partnership with community organizations and leaders, three climate projects were introduced to our cohort. In project teams, cohort members provided unique insights and youth perspectives on climate problems faced by our project partners. These youth-driven ideas culminated in presentations at a final Community Event on December 5th, 2023.
