Ian Moore is a law reform-oriented lawyer with a passion for helping redesign and decolonize legal and governance structures to align with the needs of both communities and Nature. He operates a sole-practice law firm that provides ecologically-focused legal services to clients throughout British Columbia in the areas of local government law, Aboriginal law, non-profit and business law, and environmental law. He also works as the Canada Lead for Earth Law Center, an international organization focused on building up and strengthening ecocentric legal systems. Ian was born and raised within a settler family in amiskwaciy-wâskahikan (Edmonton, AB), in Treaty 6 territory. He now lives and works in Vancouver, BC, on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
