CityShapers Program Assistant

Miu (she/her) was born and raised on the stolen ancestral and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Her mixed Japanese and Hakka-Taiwanese background led her to study International Relations at the University of Toronto, where she was a strong advocate for youth civic engagement and empowerment initiatives.

Miu enjoys studying the diverse cities around the world and believes that Metro Vancouver’s innovative policies can be bettered by youth-led decision making. When not on the job, Miu can be found at a yoga studio or at your local thrift store.
