Zoey Li

Zoey is a first-generation immigrant who now lives on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She consults nonprofit and government organizations on inclusive services for all community members so that everyone can easily access essential services that we otherwise take for granted. Zoey currently works as a Service Designer, consulting the government on staff processes and tools with a human-centred design lens to better service Canadians, and is a usability consultant with IncluCity, an organization that conducts usability testing with diverse public members for nonprofits, educational institutions, and government, to ensure their technology works for everyone.

With a goal in mind to amplify the voices of the community so that nobody is left behind, she aims to contribute to building an equitable and just society. Zoey studied management information systems at Simon Fraser University. Through her educational experience, she was involved with unforgettable programs similar to the programs offered at CityHive and feels immense value in equipping the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and skills to take meaningful action. Zoey hopes that within her role, she can further the organization’s ability to build capacity for youth to shape the future of their city.
